To maintain a healthy environment, your dog must be current on Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella vaccinations. We also request that all dogs be on a flea preventative. How long does a temperament evaluation last?
The initial consultation lasts about 30 minutes to an hour at no charge. Our goal is to ensure our facility is the best fit for your dog’s needs, especially when compared to other options for pet boarding in Studio City, CA. Afterward, you’ll receive a detailed report card on all the fun your pup had!How old does my dog have to be to attend Sam's Green Paw?
Puppies may attend as soon as they have been spayed or neutered and have received their complete series of shots. Ensuring your pup is fully vaccinated helps us provide the safest dog grooming service in Studio City, CA, and daycare experience possible.Do I need to make an appointment to bring my dog in for daycare?
No appointment is needed for daycare! Just stop by during business hours, and we’ll have space for your pup to play. While we don't require notice for daycare, we do recommend booking in advance if you also need a dog grooming service in Studio City, CA, during their visit.Do I need to make an appointment for boarding?

Are you able to give it to them?
Yes, we can administer basic, non-life-threatening medications, though we do not provide injections. This service is available to all our guests, whether they are here for the day or staying overnight for pet boarding in Studio City, CA.Why is my dog so tired after staying at Sam's Green Paw?
Most dogs play hard and get significantly more exercise here than they do at home! Even with rest areas available in our playrooms, the high level of activity at our dog grooming service in Studio City, CA, and daycare facility often results in a very sleepy pup for a day or two.Why is my dog thirsty after attending daycare?
Your dog has 24/7 access to fresh water at Sam’s Green Paw, but the spike in physical activity often increases their thirst. Much like humans after a workout or a visit to a dog grooming service in Studio City, CA, they may want to drink more than usual when they get home.Is my dog safe in daycare?
Yes, your dog is safe in daycare. Dogs may occasionally get minor scuffs during play, similar to children on a playground. They naturally use their mouths and paws and often wrestle with each other on the ground. Our staff closely supervise all playrooms, and all team members complete required training. Because of this supervision and training, injuries are rare. What if my pet requires medical attention during their stay?
If your pet needs medical attention during their stay, we will first try to reach you or your emergency contact. If we cannot get in touch and care is needed, we will take your pet to the nearest veterinarian. If your dog shows signs of a contagious illness, such as coughing, sneezing, or a runny nose, please keep them home until your veterinarian confirms they are no longer contagious. We may request a veterinary note before admitting your dog. If your dog has health concerns or a weakened immune system, consult your veterinarian before boarding. Sam’s Green Paw is not responsible for illness during or after a stay.My dog usually eats lunch at home. Can he do this while he is at Sam’s Green Paw?
Yes, we offer lunch service for dogs. Please bring your dog’s food in a labeled bag or container and let our staff know at drop off. We can also provide Canidae Chicken and Rice for an additional fee if preferred. Daycare dogs are fed in a separate kennel area at lunchtime. They are given rest time afterward before returning to play for proper digestion.Do I need to bring my dog’s food if they are boarding?
We recommend bringing your dog’s regular food from home since most dogs do best staying on their usual diet and are less likely to experience stomach upset. We can also provide Canidae Chicken and Rice at no extra cost if preferred. If your dog has allergies or special dietary needs, bringing their own food is best. Please pack food in pre-portioned, resealable bags or a sealed container to ensure we have enough for their stay. We have a refrigerator and microwave for special diets. For stays of five days or longer, you may want to increase food portions due to higher activity levels. What else can I bring?
We provide comfortable bedding for all overnight guests. If you prefer, you may also bring your dog’s own bed or a favorite blanket from home.My pet lost weight during their boarding visit. Is this normal?
It is normal for dogs to lose a small amount of weight while boarding. They are often more active and excited while playing with other dogs. This leads to more calories burned than at home. Some dogs may also eat less in a new environment, which can contribute to minor weight loss. What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your reservation, it’s as easy as a phone call or email to let us know. There is no penalty.
